Once upon a time 6 years ago......
I was a volunteer in Kiev, Ukraine as an English teacher. One night while preparing lessons for the following week a nightmare came true. I was chewing gum (I think) when suddenly I bit something hard. It was unusually hard for gum. I took the gum out of my mouth for investigation and found a chunk, yes CHUNK of my tooth. Have you ever had a dream where your teeth fall out from the simplest things? like brushing? or they just start falling out? The dream feels so real that when you wake up, you check to make sure your teeth are strong and intact? 

 I used my tongue to feel around my mouth, once I located the spot and brushed my tongue against it over and over again (trying to grasp the reality of it all). I felt another piece of tooth come out. 
AWWWWWWWWWW, It was a nightmare coming true, was my tooth going to crumble to pieces until there was nothing left????  
Only a 1/4 of my moler crumbled away and Fortunately my native coordinator had an excellent dentist and was able to get me in the next morning. The experience was pleasant. My native coordinator was there as my translator informing me what was going on every step of the way. 

My filling I received in Ukraine, lived for 6 years. What a great six years it has been! Now that it has fallen out, my dentist suggests getting a crown!

NEW CALLING:  YOUNG WOMEN 1ST COUNSELOR

One of our Young Women performed in "The Little Mermaid Musical"  in her Jr. High play. The play was amazing! I was shocked at the talent of those kids!

Nate and I moved all our furniture downstairs to get ready for our new living room set. 

There they are! Very excited! They had a shipping mistake and delivered the wrong table set. Next week I will have the complete living room picture for you!

Nate and I tried this same recipe a month ago and it was NOT as flavorful as we would have liked. This time we marinaded the chicken and added enough spices on top. With these changes this meal went from our less favorite dish to our top 5 meals being successfully made!

Birthday SURPRISE!!!!!!!

Yes, it's true, my birthday is on Star Wars day, may the 4th (force) be with you. However, that is not the surprise I received. Monday evening I went to bed with cramps. Tuesday morning (3am) the vomiting started. Tuesday mid morning I couldn't keep anything in my stomach and my cramps were continually getting worse.  Nate came home for lunch and I told him I would like to go to the hospital. Once we arrived we discovered that I had appendicitis. What I thought was serious constipation ended up being Appendicitis. Orem Community send me to Utah Valley to get an MRI to confirm their findings. It was indeed true. Tuesday night I went into surgery and had my appendix removed. Afterwards the doctor spoke with Nate (because I was too incoherent from the drugs) and told him that my appendix was on the verge of bursting. I am grateful I got in the hospital when I did.   My sweet nurses put together and card and a candy basket for me. I love the balloon, so clever!  ...

Christmas and New years 2017

Our fireplace display! Gingerbread village and nutcrackers Bath time for church... Don't you love his blonde mullet!  WE LOVED the snow that came to us on Christmas day. Springville was good to us. Boston loved it more than anyone! The run of pure joy Letting Ethan all by himself! He did a really good job with his lack of coordination! haha Park day. It was very cold. Ethan made it 10 minutes...First time experiencing cold fingers was not enjoyable for Ethan. Decided to try Blu-Red. One of the the brightest Reds for LipSense.  Not my favorite, but glad I rocked it for the day PARK DAY WITH THE DOGS Eating Snow Love how this dog lays down. Full spread Strong jaw Kylo! Messy boy! Season with Family

BRAD'S BIRTHDAY PARTY! After having the famous Chip beef on Toast (Brad's FAVORITE meal), we all went bowling at BYU!!!  (heads up, they close 2 hours early during finals week) How do I know that you ask? Well my sister Cyndi, Mrs prepared, phoned and asked what time BYU bowling closed on Tuesday 19th Dec, she was told 10pm.  Thinking we had plenty of time to bowl, we arrive at 7:35pm. As we approach we see the lanes are empty and employees are cleaning up. One of Haley's friends (Brad's girlfriend) said they close at 8!!!  But that we could bowl for free the last 20 minutes. He gave us lanes 3-8 to use!!! We all spread out and were able to bowl at least half a game.
